ABC Youth Ministry

Our student ministry (6th through 12th grade) focuses on teaching God's Word, applying Biblical truths in your life,  and assisting in your spiritual walk and faith with Christ.

At Alberta, we aim to teach students to "own" their faith as we help propel them into adulthood. To  accomplish this, we offer times of youth worship, Bible study, life  groups and missisional opportunities in  aiding teens to Know God, Find Community, and Live On Mission.

O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.

Psalm 71:17-18

Sunday A.M.

For all youth, we meet together in the Youth House (the yellow building located beside the outdoor basketball court on our church campus) beginning at 9:30 a.m. Throughout the summer, we are focusing on the book of Proverbs based off Timothy Keller's Devotional Series.

We have a large group discussion time and then break up into smaller gender-specific groups to break down the text more in depth.

Throughout studying Proverbs, we identify:

  • What is Biblical wisdom? How do I attain this?
  • What is foolishness? How do I refrain from this?
  • What does it look like to walk in discernment?

Sunday P.M.

Sunday nights at Alberta Baptist focus on our Life Groups, which we believe to be a vital part of community in our church body. Though we do not have a student specific Life Group, we encourage youth to connect with other believers and find a group that best fits for you and your family!

Most of our groups meet throughout the Tuscaloosa and Northport areas in the homes of church members. For a list of Alberta Baptist Life Groups, click here

Wednesday Youth Worship

Come join us for Wednesday Night Youth which starts at 6 p.m. in the Youth House!  We will have a great time of fellowship , teaching, games, prayer, and studying God's Word.

Throughout the summer, we are utilizing  Orange's XP3 Students curriculum.  Students will learn how the Bible and Gospel are relevant and applicable in their everyday lives by addressing three key questions:

  • Who is God?
  • How can I know what is true?
  • Can I make a difference?
