Student Link

Student Link is an opportunity for adults and families of Alberta Baptist Church to pray for, connect with, and invest in 5th—12th grade students who are a part of the church.

Any adult member of ABC committed to faithfully praying for a student can be a Prayer Link, and the goal is to have several Prayer Links for each student. Those who are Personal Links have a more involved role, and must be cleared by Jared and have passed a church background check.

How does Student Link work?

Those desiring to be part of this opportunity will submit a completed form indicating their desired level of involvement and other criteria needed for Jared to create the best match for both students and their Links. Once matches are made, Links will receive a packet containing a photo and information about their student. On Sunday, September 8, 2019, Personal Links are encouraged to sit and eat with their student during the ABC Connect Lunch following the morning service.

What is the goal of Student Link?

The goal of Student Link is to provide 10-18 year olds at Alberta Baptist Church with greater community and support, while simultaneously giving adult members of ABC a clear pathway to use their gifts, skills, and resources to serve ABC Student Ministry.

ABC students

Our student ministry (6th through 12th grade) focuses on teaching God's Word, applying Biblical truths in your life,  and assisting in your spiritual walk and faith with Christ.

At Alberta, we aim to teach students to "own" their faith as we help propel them into adulthood. To  accomplish this, we offer times of youth worship, Bible study, life  groups and missisional opportunities in  aiding teens to Know God, Find Community, and Live On Mission.

O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.

Psalm 71:17-18

Sunday A.M.

For all youth, grades 6-12, we meet together in the Youth House (the yellow building located beside the patio on our church campus) beginning at 9:30 a.m.

This fall we will be focusing on prayer and also viewing some different video series for our teaching. Our current video series is Reckless Love by Next Step Ministries.

Join us for an encouraging time of fellowship, prayer, and learning.

Sunday P.M.

Sunday nights at Alberta Baptist focus on our Life Groups, which we believe to be a vital part of community in our church body. Though we do not have a student specific Life Group, we encourage youth to connect with other believers and find a group that best fits for you and your family!

Most of our groups meet throughout the Tuscaloosa and Northport areas in the homes of church members. For a list of Alberta Baptist Life Groups, click here

Wednesday Youth Worship

Come join us for Wednesday Night Youth which starts at 6 p.m. in the Youth House!  We will have a great time of fellowship , teaching, games, prayer, and studying God's Word.

This fall we will study a variety of topics that the Bible can. Students will learn how the Gospel are relevant and applicable in their everyday lives by addressing three key questions:

  • Who is God?
  • How can I know what is true?
  • Can I make a difference?

Our current study is Rhythm, where we are looking at the rhythm of loving God with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
